WEDDINGS
Marcus Slade Films would be delighted to be involved in your special wedding day. We provide Wedding Videography Terms and Conditions to be as transparent as possible, there are no hidden extras. It is agreed that the following Wedding Videography Terms and Conditions set out the total agreement made between the parties and that no variation or modification of this contract shall be effective unless agreed by both parties.
BOOKING FEE
The Booking fee of £250 secures the date, time and services of Marcus Slade Films for the wedding and is non-refundable or transferable in the event of cancellation, it being the agreed loss suffered by the videographer due to cancellation. All cancellations must be in writing.
POSTPONEMENT
A booking is considered firm as from the date of confirmation and accordingly Marcus Slade Videography will at his discretion charge a fee of upon postponement of the agreed date.
You can now move your date at any time for a fee of £150. (Subject to availability).
90 days or less until your date and it can be moved at no extra charge.
PAYMENTS
Following payment of the booking fee, balance of payment is due up to 1 month before the wedding date. Payment by BACS is preferred and bank details will be provided on the invoice.
LATE PAYMENT FEE
Marcus Slade Films reserves the right to charge interest at the rate prescribed by the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 from the due date until the date payment is made.
DISPLAY
Marcus Slade Films may use any footage included in this contract on their website, portfolio, literature, display areas, exhibitions, competitions, advertising, slide shows or commercially unless the subjects express the wish for this not happen prior to the event.
COPYRIGHT
Any videos/images or copies of videos/images whether stored digitally or otherwise, computer files or printed documentation relating to such videos/images are protected by the Copyright and Design Act 1988 and remain the copyright of Marcus Slade Films. It is contrary to the Act to copy or allow to be copied photographically, electronically or by any other means a video/image created as part of this contract without the permission of Marcus Slade Films.
FOOTAGE
Marcus Slade Films will provide a pleasing colour balance but cannot guarantee exact colour matching owing to anomalous reflectance caused by a combination of certain dyes and materials especially man-made fibres. It is sometimes impossible to record on film or digitally the exact colour as seen by the human eye. For a booking involving a church ceremony or at certain venues, the videographer's movements are sometimes restricted by the official in charge. The area from which the videographer is able to cover the ceremony may not be the videographer's choice and the videographer cannot accept responsibility for any obstructed view should this be the case. Marcus Slade Films is not responsible if key individuals fail to appear, fail to co-operate during videography sessions, or for failure to capture footage due to details not revealed to the videographer. Marcus Slade Films recommends a designated person to be an ‘event guide’ to point out important individuals for informal or candid footage to Marcus Slade Films during the Wedding Day.
DELIVERY
Digital files in MP4/MOV/MP5 format, on the package you choose will be delivered within Eight to Ten weeks of the wedding day, during the most popular months for weddings, April through to October please allow up to Twelve weeks for delivery. I will always endeavour to deliver your wedding video as soon as I possibly can.
LICENCE
Marcus Slade Films shall be granted artistic license in relation to the poses filmed and the locations used. The videographer's judgment regarding the locations, poses and number of videos taken shall be deemed correct. Due to the vagaries of the weather and the willingness of subjects it may not be possible to capture all the footage requested.
Limitation of Liability In the unlikely event of a total recording failure or cancellation of this contract by either party or in any other circumstance the liability of one party to the other shall be limited to the total value of the contract. Neither party shall be liable for indirect or consequential loss.
MILEAGE CHARGE
No mileage charge applies within 60 miles from Bridgwater, Somerset. Calculated using the postcode TA6 6HD. Distances in excess of this will incur a small surcharge of 60 pence per mile. If your wedding venue is a fair distance from Bridgwater, Somerset an overnight stay may be required and a charge for accommodation may incur unless you are able to provide accommodation.
ATTENDANCE
In the unlikely event of the assigned videographer being unable to attend your wedding due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to appoint another videographer to attend your wedding on our behalf to undertake the wedding videography to his/her best ability.
ADDITIONAL HOURS
Any hours worked above the time set out in the package you have chosen will be charged at £150 per hour.
CANCELLATIONS
Upon acceptance of this agreement and initial booking fee a cooling-off period of five (5) working days is allowed for any change-of-mind. After this period, no refunds for change-of-mind will apply. Should the event be cancelled, a written agreement to notify Marcus Slade Films will also apply. Cancellations less than 6 weeks prior to the date of the wedding are required to pay the remaining balance. These conditions also apply to postponed weddings if Marcus Slade Films is unavailable for the rescheduled date and time.
